Denise Bianco wife of Sheriff Chad Bianco versus Rachel Whetstone wife of Steve Hilton California governor race 2026By PM Kimbler

The Woman Behind the Man Matters And California Cannot Afford to Get This Wrong

When we choose a governor, we’re not just choosing one person. We’re choosing a household. A worldview. A set of values that will walk through the door of the Governor’s Mansion and shape every conversation, every decision, every priority of the man we send to Sacramento.

So let me ask you a question California conservatives need to be asking right now:

Who do you want whispering in the governor’s ear?

There are two women in this race, and they could not be more different.

Meet Denise Bianco

Denise Bianco describes herself in her own words: “Daughter of our Creator. Proud wife of our Sheriff.”

That’s not a campaign slogan. That’s a woman who knows who she is.

Denise has stood beside Chad Bianco for over two decades – through the grind of law enforcement, through the sacrifice of public service, through the pressure of a political environment that has tried to destroy her husband at every turn. She didn’t grow up in boardrooms. She didn’t build her identity around corporate titles or Silicon Valley connections. She built it around her faith, her family, her four children, and her five grandchildren.

When Chad announced his run for governor, Denise took to social media and wrote: “Finally a candidate that cares about the people of California. Thank you Lord! Taking our state back!”

That is a woman who is praying for this state, not managing its narrative.

When Chad speaks at campaign events across California, Denise steps to the mic and opens in prayer. Not a photo op. Not a scripted moment for the cameras. A genuine, public declaration that this family’s foundation is the Lord.

Denise Bianco is a California woman. She knows what the cost of groceries feels like. She knows what it means to raise children in a state that has been systematically hostile to everything she believes. She has skin in this game; not stock options.

This is the woman who would be beside the Governor of California.

Now Meet Rachel Whetstone

Rachel Whetstone is Steve Hilton’s wife. She is a British national who built her entire career as the public relations shield for the most powerful and most controversial corporations in Silicon Valley.

Let’s walk through her résumé, because it tells you everything you need to know about the worldview that would have the ear of a Hilton governorship.

Google. Rachel Whetstone spent nearly a decade as the head of communications and public policy at Google – one of the most powerful censorship engines ever built. While conservatives were being systematically suppressed and shadow-banned, she was the one managing the message. Her job was to make sure the public never quite understood what Google was doing to them.

Uber. She moved to Uber as Senior Vice President of Communications and Policy, where she became embroiled in controversy and left amid reports of internal chaos and tension with leadership.

Facebook and Meta. She went straight to Facebook, overseeing communications for WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger, the three platforms that have done incalculable damage to the mental health of American children and the integrity of American discourse.

Then there’s Netflix.

Rachel Whetstone became the Chief Communications Officer of Netflix in August 2018. She held that position until October 2024 – six years as the top communications executive of the world’s most powerful streaming platform.

In September 2020, Netflix released a film called Cuties.

If you don’t know what Cuties is, let me tell you plainly: it was a film featuring real, young girls – eleven-year-olds – in sexualized dance scenes that made senators on both sides of the aisle call for a Department of Justice investigation. Senator Ted Cruz called for a federal probe. Representative Tulsi Gabbard called it child pornography. The backlash was immediate, bipartisan, and furious.

And Netflix,under Rachel Whetstone’s communications leadership,defended it.

Netflix released a statement calling Cuties a “social commentary against the sexualization of young children.” They did not pull it. They did not apologize. They defended it.

Rachel Whetstone was their Chief Communications Officer. Her job was to manage exactly this kind of public crisis. The decision to stand behind that content, to craft and deliver that defense to the American public, happened on her watch.

That is not a footnote. That is a disqualifier.

This Is Not a Small Difference

Let me be clear about something. I am not saying Steve Hilton is a bad man. I am saying that the people around a leader shape that leader, and the woman who has his ear, who has his trust, who sits across from him at dinner every night, matters.

Denise Bianco’s identity is rooted in Christ. Her counsel comes from a place of faith, family, and California roots. When Chad faces a hard decision, the voice beside him is a woman who prays.

Rachel Whetstone’s identity is rooted in Silicon Valley. Her expertise is crisis communications for corporations that have spent the last decade undermining conservative values, suppressing free speech, and putting profit above the protection of children. When Steve faces a hard decision, the voice beside him is a woman who built her career defending the indefensible.

California needs a governor whose household is aligned with the values he claims to hold.

California needs a First Lady who is for this state – not a communications executive who spent years defending the institutions that have worked against everything we believe.

The choice is clear.

No Compromise. No Apology. All for His Glory.
